Games of Small States of Europe 2009

The Games of Small States of Europe 2009 was a multi-sport event that took place in Cyprus from 1st to 6th June. The event was the 13th edition of the Games of Small States of Europe, a biennial games event for European countries with a population of less than one million. The games were officially opened by President of Cyprus, Demetris Christofias, at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia.

One of the highlights of the Games of Small States of Europe 2009 was the cycling event held on 4th June. The event took place in the scenic region of Machairas, a mountain range in the district of Nicosia.
